FEDERAL ENERGY TAX CREDIT

On February 17, 2009 the Stimulus Bill (The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009) was passed and allows a 30% tax credit on qualified products.
Receive 30% of the cost of the material--up to $1500-- for qualifying energy efficient products!
- Must be placed in service before December 31st 2010
- Must be for taxpayers principal residence (new construction and rentals do not apply)
- $1500 is the maximum total amount that can be claimed for all products placed in service in 2009 and 2010 for most home improvements
- Check out energystar.gov/taxcredit for more information on the available federal tax credit when you purchase energy-efficient products.
